Waste in, protein and soil out.

In the UK. AgriGrub turns supermarket and farm waste into insect protein and certified organic fertiliser, sold to UK farms and feed buyers. Founded 2018. UK buyers take dried larvae on repeat orders, gamebird estates take live larvae at the highest margin, and demand is growing faster than the site can supply it.

Demand is not the problem. Frass enquiries already run at forty times current output, and trials show that adding 1.5 per cent live larvae to poultry feed cuts grow-out by three days. The constraint is space, which is what the new building, approved this autumn, is for. The consumer brand, Little Grub Farm, now sells wild bird care online and in garden centres, and won an award at its first trade show.
